These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of products and services by FastFit Windscreens & Tint ("FastFit Windscreens & Tint", "we", "us" or "our") to customers ("you" or "your").

By requesting a quote, making a booking, purchasing a product or engaging FastFit Windscreens & Tint to provide services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms are intended to be read together with any quotation, invoice or other specific terms provided to you.

  • Windscreen replacement
  • Vehicle glass replacement
  • Window tinting
  • Removal and replacement of window tint
  • Supply of automotive glass and related products
  • Other automotive glass services offered by us from time to time

The availability of particular services may depend on the vehicle, glass specifications, location, parts availability and other circumstances.

2. Quotes and Estimates

Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotes provided by FastFit Windscreens & Tint are estimates based on the information available to us at the time.

A quote may be subject to:

  • Confirmation of the vehicle's make, model and year
  • Verification of the vehicle identification details
  • Availability and specification of replacement glass
  • Availability of required mouldings, trims, clips, sensors or other components
  • Inspection of the vehicle or existing glass
  • Changes requested by the customer
  • Additional work identified after inspection or commencement of the service

We will endeavour to notify you of any significant additional costs before carrying out additional work where reasonably practicable.

Unless otherwise specified, a quote is valid for [30 days] from the date of issue.

3. Bookings and Appointments

Bookings are subject to availability.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate information about:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Vehicle make, model and year
  • Vehicle registration
  • Location of the vehicle
  • Required service
  • Relevant insurance or claim information, where applicable

Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays, additional costs or the need to reschedule the appointment.

We will make reasonable efforts to arrive or commence work at the agreed time. However, appointment times may occasionally change due to traffic, weather, workload, parts availability, unexpected vehicle issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Before we commence work, you must:

  • Provide reasonable access to the vehicle
  • Ensure the vehicle is legally accessible and safe for our technicians to work on
  • Remove personal belongings from areas where work will be performed
  • Inform us of any known damage, modifications or previous repairs that may affect the service
  • Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
  • Inform us of any relevant requirements associated with your vehicle or insurance claim

You are responsible for securing or removing valuable or fragile personal items from the vehicle.

5. Vehicle Condition and Pre-existing Damage

We will take reasonable care when working on your vehicle.

However, automotive glass replacement and related work can involve risks associated with the existing condition of the vehicle.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, deterioration, corrosion, rust, weakened paintwork, damaged trims, clips, mouldings, seals or other components that were not caused by our work.

If we identify a condition that may affect the service, we may discuss it with you before proceeding.

6. Windscreen Repairs

A windscreen repair is only appropriate where the damage is suitable for repair based on its size, location, type and condition.

We cannot guarantee that every chip or crack can be successfully repaired.

Even where a repair is technically possible:

  • The repaired area may remain visible
  • The appearance of the damage may not be completely restored
  • The repair may not prevent an existing crack from spreading
  • Further damage may occur after the repair due to factors outside our control

We will use reasonable skill and care when performing repairs but cannot guarantee a particular cosmetic or structural outcome.

Where we determine that replacement is safer or more appropriate than repair, we may recommend replacement.

7. Windscreen Replacement

Replacement windscreens and vehicle glass will be selected based on the information available to us about your vehicle.

Some vehicles may have specialised features incorporated into the glass, including:

  • Rain or light sensors
  • Cameras
  • Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
  • Heating elements
  • Antennas
  • Head-up display technology
  • Other electronic or vehicle-specific components

Where calibration or programming is required following replacement, this may be subject to additional charges unless specifically included in the quote.

We will advise you where we reasonably identify that additional calibration or specialist work may be required.

8. Vehicle Safety Systems and Calibration

Modern vehicles may use cameras, sensors and other systems connected with driver assistance or safety functions.

Where applicable, calibration may be required following windscreen replacement.

FastFit Windscreens & Tint will advise you if calibration is required or recommended based on the vehicle and service being performed.

You acknowledge that failure to undertake required calibration may affect the operation of vehicle safety or driver-assistance systems.

Where calibration is not included in the quoted service, it may be charged separately.

9. Window Tinting

Window tinting is subject to the condition of the existing glass, tint film and vehicle surfaces.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide a professional finish. However, minor variations, including temporary bubbles or hazing, may occur during the curing process.

You should follow any aftercare instructions provided by us.

The performance, appearance and longevity of window tint can be affected by factors including:

  • Existing glass condition
  • Previous tint or adhesive
  • Cleaning products
  • Scratches or damage to the glass
  • Environmental conditions
  • Customer use and maintenance

We cannot guarantee that tint will remain completely free from wear, damage or deterioration for the entire life of the vehicle.

10. Tinting Compliance

Tinting services are subject to applicable Australian and Queensland laws and regulations concerning vehicle window tinting and visibility.

Where appropriate, we will use products intended to comply with applicable requirements.

However, responsibility for the lawful use and registration of the vehicle remains with the vehicle owner or operator.

If you request a tint specification that may not comply with applicable legal requirements, we may refuse to provide that service.

11. Prices and Payment

Prices are provided in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Payment is due in accordance with the payment terms stated on your invoice or otherwise agreed with us.

We may accept payment by methods including:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Electronic funds transfer
  • Cash
  • Other payment methods made available by us

We reserve the right to require payment before commencing certain services.

If an amount remains unpaid after it becomes due, we may suspend further services until the outstanding amount has been paid.

12. Insurance Claims

Where a service is being undertaken through an insurance claim, your insurer may have specific requirements concerning payment, excesses, approved suppliers and replacement glass.

You remain responsible for any amount that is properly payable by you, including an applicable insurance excess or any amount not covered by your insurer.

We are not responsible for delays caused by insurers, claims administrators or other third parties.

13. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

Where a customer repeatedly fails to attend an appointment, cancels at short notice or prevents the scheduled work from being completed, we may charge a reasonable cancellation, call-out or other applicable fee where this has been disclosed or agreed.

Any cancellation fees will be communicated to you before they are charged where reasonably practicable.

14. Parts and Availability

Replacement glass, mouldings, clips and other components may be subject to supplier availability.

If a required part becomes unavailable, delayed, discontinued or incorrectly supplied by a manufacturer or supplier, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative solution or reschedule the service.

We are not responsible for delays caused by suppliers or manufacturers beyond our reasonable control.

15. Workmanship and Warranty

FastFit Windscreens & Tint will perform its services with reasonable care and skill.

Where we provide a specific workmanship or product warranty, the applicable warranty period and conditions will be communicated to you at the time of service or on your invoice.

A warranty may not apply where a problem results from:

  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or neglect
  • Subsequent damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Modification or interference by another person
  • Damage to pre-existing components
  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions
  • External environmental conditions
  • Events outside our reasonable control

Where a product is supplied with a manufacturer's warranty, the manufacturer's warranty terms may also apply.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastFit Windscreens & Tint will not be liable for loss or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including rights and guarantees provided to consumers under applicable law.

Where liability can lawfully be limited, our liability will be limited to the extent permitted by law.

18. Delays and Circumstances Beyond Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our services where caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • Severe weather
  • Floods
  • Natural disasters
  • Traffic or road closures
  • Accidents
  • Supplier delays
  • Parts shortages
  • Industrial action
  • Power or telecommunications failures
  • Government restrictions
  • Unforeseen vehicle conditions
  • Other events outside our reasonable control

Where possible, we will contact you and make reasonable arrangements to reschedule the service.
